Abstract

A not well- known writer in foreign countries is introduced to the readers of the article bellow. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1591. Highly influenced by the type of education he received, he was a very controversial person, a characteristic that was always reflected on his works all his life long. He always followed the path of the Aristotelian School; consequently, he had to face strong attacks from a great many detractors as well as receive important support from many others. His knowledge and works range over many different subjects, from philosophy to astronomy and literary works based on Christianity, such as the one we refer to in this article, Virgilii Evangelizantis Christiados. He wrote indistinctly in English and Latin.
