Abstract
The challenge of the present and future Caritas is to put “God’s primacy” at the center of its activity. This primacy rediscovers the close relationship between faith, service, liturgy, and evangelization. The exercise of Christian charity aims to liberate the poor from its poverty. The Caritas of the future must make visible the face of those who suffer from the throwaway culture. Caritas specializes in charitable and social activities, but it does not relieve the resto f the community of this duty.
