Abstract
The expressions ipso facto and ipso iure are used with certain frequency by the canonical legislation to indicate the relation that there is between certain facts regulated by the laws and the juridical effect that they produce as established by invalidating and incapacitating laws. According to the common opinion, the expression ipso facto is also applied to sanction matters, but both former and current legislation also applies to other matters. The expression ipso iure is also applied to various matters, among which are the juridical persons, the condition of the persons and the sanctions.
