The Development of the Theology of Charity in the Magisterium of the Spanish Episcopal Conference

Abstract

In this article we present the evolution of the theology of charity based on some documents by Spanish Bishops, and their subsequent repercussions on ecclesiastical life; we especially deal with the origin of social-charitable action in the Church and its most important implications. It is a theological and pastoral approach to the charitable dimension of the ecclesiastical community. Many of our current pastoral options draw on the logics of the beginnings that we are analyzing here.
