Scientific means of knowledge transfer

Salmanticensis has a Board of national and international reviewers of recognized prestige, an international Scientific Committee, composed of experts in various disciplines and in the different areas of theology. The Scientific Committee advises and evaluates the publication, endorsing it scientifically and projecting it internationally. The Editorial Board follows the ordinary functioning of the journal, issues reports, proposes themes and evaluates manuscripts. The Editorial Board submits to blind evaluation the manuscripts considered for publication.

Salmanticensis accepts for evaluation manuscripts in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, English and German.

Quality of the editorial process

Salmanticensis has been publishing issues periodically since its inception. Currently the periodicity is semiannual. The edited works are subjected to previous evaluations by experts of the Editorial Board and independent reviewers, who are researchers of recognized prestige in the area.
The contributions reviewed in Salmanticensis are subjected, as a minimum requirement, to the blind evaluation system, which guarantees anonymity in the review of manuscripts. In case of discrepancy between the evaluators, new reviews are carried out to determine the viability of the possible publication of the contributions.
Salmanticensis notifies in a motivated way the editorial decision that includes the reasons for the previous estimation, subsequent review, with acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts, with summaries of the opinions issued by the external experts.
Salmanticensis, in addition to the aforementioned bodies, is assisted by the staff of the Publications Service and the Library of the Pontifical University of Salamanca. This ensures the institutional and commercial network.
The Scientific Committee and the list of reviewers are formed by professionals and researchers of recognized prestige, national and international, with no institutional link to the journal or to the publisher, marking the evaluation and auditing of the journal.

Scientific quality of the content

The articles published in Salmanticensis are basically oriented to the transfer of research, thus collaborating to the progress of science in the field of theology and humanities.
