Abstract
The reliquary of the arm of Saint George in the Cathedral of Salamanca, is the oldest and highest quality relic guard in the cathedral treasure. The present study takes into account the new artistic historical conceptions that have focused their interest in the body, sensations and senses. So, this study presents research whose perspective focuses on the interactions of the viewer, the use and function of the relic, to try to visualize a symbolic dialogue between artwork and spectator, helped by the bibliographic guidelines that have approached their study based on formal, chronological and stylistic patterns.
