Mariological and Marian Conferences

Mariological and Marian Conferences reflect the vitality of the academic disciplines. There are numerous Mariological and Marian Conferences promoted by different institutions or by private initiative and celebrated throughout the 20th and 21th centuries. This article explores only those organized by the Pontificia Academia Mariana Internationalis (PAMI), which coordinates the studies of Marian theology around the globe, and by several national Mariological Societies. It offers a brief report on the origin and features of each institution and indicates the topics discussed in their Congresses and recorded in the respective Proceedings. It pays special attention to those organized by the PAMI, chiefly those that have been held so far, this century.
