The ignatian Magis, a choise criterion for inclusive education
Main Article Content
Inclusive education is a form of social justice that seeks to guarantee the right of all people to a quality education, regardless of their individual
capabilities and characteristics. Paying attention to the uniqueness and diversity of the students entails the challenge of making decisions in contexts that can be complex and dilemmic, as well as choosing between paradoxical and contradictory alternatives. According to this challenge in mind, the Ignatian Magis is proposed as a criterion that helps to make fair and equitable decisions. The Magis is the best possible service to others that is born from an attitude of gratitude for the infinite mercy of God and is materialized in the commitment to welcome and respect the dignity of all people, especially the most fragile and vulnerable of the society.
