Informal Education: The Wise Years in the Spanish Stadium of Chile

Abstract

The following presentation has as a reference the work carried out in the Spanish Stadium of Chile, highlighting the informal education of older adults,
members of this entity in the last twenty years, based on the context of improving the quality of life of this age group and generating a moment of interaction between those over 65 years of age. who can choose three workshops out of twenty that are taught, highlighting among them, Literary Workshop, Cognitive Memory, Music Workshop, History Gymnastics in the Water, General Culture and Entertaining Dance, among others. It is important to highlight the management carried out by the Social Cultural Department and the Board of Directors of this entity, who called this program Workshops "Wise Years". In the light of this research, the question arises: What concept of management has led the author of this paper, to investigate, and to practice as an
educator in the work that is carried out; in this case we will refer to the "Literary Workshop The Wise Years"? The methodology used is historical-analytical, researching primary sources (institutional archives) and face-to-face interviews with members who belong to this place of recreation, and who participate in these activities, emphasizing that they are immigrants from various cities in Spain and that they have been passing on their customs from generation to generation.
