The canons on the priesthood formation in the light of the New Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis "The gift of the priestly vocation"

Abstract

The promulgation of the new Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis: «The gift of the priestly vocation» necessitates a revision and update of the meaning of the Code of Canon Law norms that refer to priestly formation. This short article tries to highlight those novelties that come to clarify or complete the canons, but, at the same time, highlight some questions posed by the reading of the Ratio, pointing out some solutions and leaving others for further reflection.
