Love and mystic in the poetic reason of María Zambrano
Main Article Content
The idea of love, central to the thought of María Zambrano, evokes the unity of the human being with nature and also the disturbing search for lost love that begins with the birth of consciousness. At first it manifested itself in cosmogony. Then it was split into two genres: tragedy recounts love passion and philosophy love to know. The separation grows throughout western history. Zambrano proposes the search for the original unit in the construction of poetic reason, through a double heritage: European philosophy and Hispanic literary creation. The poetic reason is a form of knowledge that tries to understand the human being in his creative selfproduction. The purpose of this work is to investigate María Zambrano’s contribution to new ways of thinking about European and Spanish culture from the notion of love, which has its expression in art, literature and mysticism.
