Abstract

Since the legislative evolution of the criminal justice and its tool the criminal mediation in the  supranational and international scope, it is explained how the criminal mediation has arisen in Spain in the area of minors and in adults with reference to the legislation that is of application in both cases. From this national scope, the Autonomous Community
of Castilla and León is analyzed in terms of criminal mediation projects to end up treating the situation in Salamanca. In this city, criminal mediation has been implemented thanks to a collaboration agreement signed between Concierta Association for the Promotion of mediation with the General Council of the Judiciary and the results obtained during 2016 and almost all of 2017 with data statistics and graphics. Finally, it concludes by addressing the issue of the lack of funding for criminal mediation throughout the Spanish territory and provision of the service free of charge by criminal mediators.
