From the Transcendental Anthropology of Leonardo Polo 2024-11-27T09:38:18+00:00 Blanca Castilla de Cortázar revistafamilia@upsa.es
This work, faced with an arduous theological issue –still “in fieri” and in some way controversial as it is open to different perspectives–, will try to deliver some of the novel contributions of the magisterium of Saint John Paul II, with the help of insights from the Patristics and the philosophical proposals of the transcendental Anthropology of Leonardo Polo. After exposing the person as a relational and dual being, and the family as a relational and triadic reality, he will enter the theology of the imago Dei and the imago trinitatis in the male-female duality. Finally, after exposing the family analogy of the Trinity, some prospects will be drawn around the Trinity as a family and the family as an image of the Trinity.

2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1447 Contributions to rethinking social and family policies: towards relational co-responsibility 2024-11-27T09:59:36+00:00 José Ignacio Olaguibe jose.olaguibe@uah.es
The new role of women in the workplace and the increased participation of men in domestic tasks, although still incipient, are significant social and cultural transformations that characterise the beginning of this new century. These changes have important effects on family life and the labour market. Social and family policy is not neutral in the face of these transformations; in fact, they play an active role today. For this reason, this research work aims to enrich the design of these policies, especially those linked to work-family integration, based on an analysis of the contemporary family reality from Donati's relational perspective. On the one hand, it reviews the theoretical approaches on how to understand the ‘family’ and its link with the design of social policies. On the other hand, it reflects on the concept of co-responsibility linked to family life in order to consider in this modality not only the individual independently, but also in relation to the rest of the family members. Finally, it is proposed to redefine the current focus of social policies on work-life balance and care, which tends to be individual and egalitarian, towards one that promotes relational co-responsibility between men and women.
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1448 Conflict in the family business and the use of mediation as a proposal for peaceful intervention 2024-11-27T11:20:54+00:00 Sonia Rebollo Revesado revistafamilia@upsa.es Ignacio Sánchez Herrero revistafamilia@upsa.es
A characteristic sign of the family business is the perfect symbiosis between family and business, creating a unique and sometimes complex organisational structure. These organisations often follow different structural models that combine family, business and various organisational aspects. Conflicts are a reality in society in general and also in family businesses due to the overlapping of close personal and professional relationships. These conflicts mean that a large number of these organisations are unable to survive over time, resulting in their disappearance and a significant impact both economically and socially. For this reason, mediation emerges as an effective method to address and resolve these disputes, promoting a culture of peace and understanding among its members by allowing the parties involved to reach agreements in an autonomous and mutually beneficial manner. In view of the above, this intervention proposal is developed, combining the success factors of this type of mediation with the Spanish legal framework and the organisational structure of the five circles, seeking not only to resolve specific conflicts but also to restore and strengthen family and business relationships, thus contributing to their continuity and sustainable growth.
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1449 Analysis of the Evolution and Presence of Romantic Love as a Mental Model 2024-11-27T11:29:38+00:00 Ana María Gil Gómez anamgilgz@gmail.com
Romantic love constitutes an idealized construction of love, connected through myths that tie ideas of "true love" with suffering and sacrifice in relationships, which ends up in the idealization of bondages between couples. Turning it into an amorous mental model of reference, which interferes and/or hinders the relational or sex-affective dynamics. This essay has as an objective the analysis of the presence of romantic love myths existent nowadays. A bibliographic review was made for studies published between years 2016 and 2022, selecting only those that quantitatively analyze myths about romantic love. Results show that there still exists an eminent amount of romantic love myths, especially around men with the ideas about jealousy. The study about the implication in same sex couples showed big limitations and insufficient studies to be able to subtract a conclusion. Such presence of romantic love myths makes up for the necessity of prevention and sensibilization programs about the consequences of this model in sex-affective relations, and also remarks the necessity of making studies for more heterogeneous groups which include different sexual orientations.

2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1450 Impact of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) in Spain 2024-11-27T12:30:21+00:00 Kevin Iglesias Sánchez kiglesiassa.pis@upsa.es María José Fernández Guerrero mjfernandezgu@upsa.es
This study addresses the topic of Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) from a psychological perspective, focusing on its impact in Spain. Through a comprehensive systematic review of the existing scientific literature, the identification criteria of PAS, the involved family dynamics, the psychological consequences on affected children, and the intervention and treatment strategies available in the Spanish context are analyzed. The importance of understanding and addressing PAS in a comprehensive manner is highlighted, considering both the emotional and psychological implications for children and the repercussions for the affected parents. The lack of recognition of PAS in the DSM5 and ICD-11 is discussed, and therapeutic and legal alternatives to address this phenomenon are explored. Additionally, the need for training and awareness among mental health professionals, the judicial system, and social services regarding PAS is emphasized, as well as the importance of developing standardized guidelines and protocols for its assessment and treatment. The exploration of new technologies in the field of family mediation to improve the effectiveness of interventions is also suggested.
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1451 Parental phubbing and its relationship with anxiety, depression and addictions in adolescents 2024-11-27T12:43:37+00:00 Erika Marta Pérez Civera erikamarta.perez177@comunidadunir.net
Introduction: Well-established attachment in parent-child relationships functions as a protective factor for psychological well-being during adolescence. New technologies affect family relationships, including negative behaviors such as parental phubbing, where parents ignore their children in favor of electronic devices. Objective: To demonstrate the relationship between parental phubbing and anxiety, depression and addictions in adolescents. Methodology: Systematic searches were performed following the guidelines of the PRISMA 2020 statement in the PubMed and ProQuest databases, known for their high scientific relevance. Studies published between 2013 and 2023 of experimental, quasi-experimental or observational type, containing quantitative psychometric test results, were selected. Articles or trials without primary data, adult population or singlecase studies were excluded. Results: Of the 236 papers found, 45 studies were critically reviewed, and 15 investigations were included in the review. All obtained significant results on the association between parental phubbing and anxiety, depression and addictions in adolescents. Conclusions: Parental phubbing contributes to the prevalence of various mental pathologies in the child and adolescent population. However, it is important to be cautious in extrapolating the results because most of the studies come from the following sources
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1452 Clinical importance of subjective memory complaints in the early detection of mild cognitive impairment 2024-11-27T13:00:59+00:00 Laura Moro Murciego lmoromu.psi@upsa.es Antonio Sánchez Cabaco asanchezca@upsa.es
Introduction: There is great clinical interest in optimizing the diagnostic process of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and the evaluation of subjective memory complaints (SMC) reported by the subject himself or his informants, which could be the tool to use for this purpose. Objectives: to determine the clinical importance of SMC in the early detection of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and to objectify the role of key informants in the evaluation of memory impairment. Method: Literature review and qualitative and quantitative analysis of the information collected. A total of 30 articles are included for its development. Results: On the six topics in which the collected information is organized, there is a discrepancy of results between the different investigations, although there seems to be evidence with sufficient solidity to make certain statements. Conclusions: The SMC are predictive of progress to MCI years before the start of the notable deficit in objective performance tests, so they are a good early indicator of deterioration. Although in the initial moments the complaints of cognitively healthy patients more accurately determine their performance in objective tests, a reduction in awareness of the deficit is common as it progresses, which makes the assessment provided by close informants essential. These reports are not without bias and more research is needed in this regard.
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://revistas.upsa.es/index.php/familia/article/view/1453 Analysis of the importance of the family in the musical autobiography of university students 2024-11-27T13:18:43+00:00 María Teresa Del Moral-Marcos mtmoralma@upsa.es
University students need to acquire socioemotional competences to ensure their full integration in an increasingly complex society. Self-knowledge and personal and professional identity are essential in the training of future education professionals. Learning based on artistic languages, and music in particular, allows the exploration of emotions and facilitates the acquisition and/or improvement of students' socioemotional competencies. Musical autobiography can be a useful tool to work on students' selfknowledge and identity. Through music, memories associated with different stages or moments of life emerge, some of them related to the family. This study aims to analyze the importance of the family in the musical autobiography of university students. This is an exploratory-descriptive study with a mixed approach, based on action research methodology. The main results were that the family was one of the main reasons for the participants' selection of the most significant songs. They were also asked to rank the songs in order of importance. The participants most frequently ranked first those songs whose motive for selection was the family. Regarding the emotions that the songs currently aroused in them, the most frequently mentioned emotions were joy and nostalgia. In future research, it would be interesting to further explore the use of musical autobiography in different stages and contexts, such as secondary education, higher education, music therapy, family and career counselling or family therapy.
Bibliography
2024-11-27T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024
