Abstract

At present, the arrival of technology has permeabilized family environments, generating changes in their dynamics and traditional ways of relating, various media arise through information technologies and ICT communication, generating
innovation in the processes of education, work and interpersonal relationships. The immersion in technology has flooded family environments,
transforming communication through the use of new technologies, in turn, generating innovation in family and  friends. Older people are increasingly interested in integrating with new technologies for this, continuing education joins to facilitate active aging
and provide well-being for the family. The continuous use of the internet brings us closer to digital inclusion, in the study we consider knowing the
use that older people make of social networks. The study analyzes the use of internet in the elderly, for the collection of data a questionnaire of 120 people of permanent education was used. The results vary an increase in the use of WhatsApp
