Family legal ethic and principle of equality Interpretative issues

Since the adoption of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, equality between men and women has progressed, reaching established as fundamental right and as a general principle of law. We provide a reflection on the applicability of this principle to family life and their interpretation; enunciating since not enough to understand its depth. Ethics in the family institution requires the correct interpretation of the principle of equality in its different facets: equality between the father and mother, children and daughters, equality in education, access to work, and so on. The greater involvement of father and mother in the education and care of the offspring from the beginning, will contribute to strengthening family ties and reducing family conflict. It´s very important sensitize people about conciliation and co-responsibility, as well as on the eradication of violence against women and their participation in political, economic and social spheres is necessary.
