Abstract
This article consists of four parts, each one dedicated to the analysis and presentation of the following questions: a) the patrimonial capacity of ecclesiastical entities in the Spanish civil order; b) the ownership and legal regime of the assets of the Church; c) the registration of the real estate of the Catholic
Church and ecclesiastical entities in the property registry; d) the study prepared by the Government of Spain in execution of the non-law proposal approved
by the Justice Commission of the Congress of Deputies; the report presented by Spanish Episcopal Conferenci about the registered properties by certification between 1998 and 2015.
