About pastoral engagement some premises to construct an itinerary of faith for couples

Abstract

It feels with urgency the need to re structure the pastoral engagement, offering a preparation for marriage much more integral, articulate and structure in the itinerary of faith for couples. The article suggests some opinions to create and articulate those ways of faith: vocation to love as a path of faith, because both realities are inseparable and each one illuminates the other; the importance of knowing well the profile of the subject –the couple–to whom the way is destinated; understand the engagement as a time in which a new identity in the person starts to generate; rediscover the centrality about the body vocation and the significance of the sexual difference; put the engagement period inside the sacrament structure of christian life, if we don’t want to dilute it in other perspectives that distort its essential identity. The different moments of the faith itinerary for couples has to be integrate inside the family and domestic liturgy that is a reality that pastoral family has to recover again.
