Abstract
We analyze the first address to the Tribunal of the Roman Rota during the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV. If we are to consider programmatic issues, it can be said that Pope Leo XIV’s approach to canonical matters is characterized by a pragmatic balance between doctrinal firmness and synodal openness.
