Natural law, the true protector of the individual and of society

This article addresses the global crisis of the 20th century and the attempt to protect human beings, following the experience of World War II, the creation of the UN, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), in order to preserve them from the scourge of war and protect their rights. It is necessary to return to the classical natural law system, the principles recognized by Aristotle, Cicero, and the Roman jurists, St. Thomas, and the School of Salamanca.
The new legal system is analyzed: denial of the natural order, freedom of modernity, modern formulation of human rights. The new challenges for the individual, society, and jurists are analyzed. And the new proposal of the Popes on natural law, a true guarantee of the dignity of the human person and society.
