Abstract

Some historical background of the measures taken to make more agile and flexible the processes of declaration of the nullity of marriage, with special attention to the period between the Second Vatican Council and the Instruction Dignitas connubii. Finally we comment on the measures taken with the recent motu proprio «Mitis Iudex» to achieve that objective.
