Episcopalis Communio a commentary on the new pontifical law on the synod of Bishops

Abstract

A commentary on the recent norms of Pope Francis on the Synod of Bishops is presented. Episcopalis communio has not properly promoted a refoundation but rather a transformation of the Synod. The most important question that arises now is the adequate coexistence in the same institution of the principle of episcopal collegiality with the criterion of synodality.
